Well Hello Again!

It is about time I update this blog of ours.

We've had a very busy summer.

In June Chris and I decided it was time to move home & here we are- in PRICE. It really has been a lot of fun. I thought the move would have been harder on Chris but I was wrong. He adjusted and was good to go within the first 2 days and well I cried everyday for about the first 2-3 weeks we were here. Thank God I had my mom, sister, and Carol to help me out during my emotional spells! Haha. We had a difficult time finding a home, in fact we didn't even find our home- Carol did. She called everyone she has ever known for us and found an adoreable duplex! It has taken us pretty much all summer to get settled in but I think were finally there. YAY. It is pretty hectic in this sleepy little town. Chris works more hours than any one person should! And well me...I work part time and spend the rest of my days cooking, cleaning, and doing every other wifely duty that I can think of. There is plenty that has gone on this summer but I'm tired of looking at the computer so I promise to update again soon!

Home Sweet Home

We have finally started turning our house in to a home!

My Valentine's Day present from Chris was a new bedroom set. I absolutely love it...of course he let me pick it out but thats not even the point. HA. Then for the rest of the day he took me shopping all over the place for home decor!! He didn't like the shopping much but he was a really good sport and let me take as much time as I wanted. He even hung up all my new stuff as soon as we got home. It was so much fun.

Thank you hunny!!

Happy Holidays and Such

Well Thanksgiving is a week away. Can you believe it? We can't.

Holidays are so much more hectic but very exciting now that we have 2 families. Thanksgiving seems to be the easiest. We both get 2 days off from work. We spend 2 nights with my parents and 2 nights with his parents. We do Thanksgiving dinner with The Bonaquisto's early afternoon and dinner with my family a couple hrs later. Last year we tried to pace ourselves and not over stuff ourselves on Turkey but we failed miserably!!Personally I am not a huge fan of Turkey. I would much rather they give me a plate of elk jerky and steak piled 10 inches thick but since that's not in the tradition of things I'll stick with my heaping pile of Turkey smothered in cups upon cups of gravy. AND Chris and I will stuff ourselves stupid.

Now Christmas...that's an entirely different story. I love Christmas more than people can imagine. I don't go all out in my decorating (we're still a little too cheap to go out and buy all the great stuff) but I go all out in buying presents (I'm on a budget this year after Chris found out what I spent last year. I have a big family OK). I get more excited about buying presents for the kids than the kids do about receiving them. I guess getting clothes and toys you already have isn't all the exciting to little people. No one said I was a great gift giver.

But OK back to the point of this blog. The difference in Christmas this year. Chris gets Christmas Eve to New Years Day off and I only get Christmas Day. What a bummer that is for me! Last year we weren't married and so we flipped flopped back and forth between his parents and my parents on Christmas Day. Even spent a little time away from each other. We didn't like it much but we knew it was the last year we would really get to do that. This year we are doing Christmas Eve in SLC with The Bonaquisto's and Christmas Day with my family in Price. It will be different for the both of us but I think after this first year we'll get used to it. First year is always the hardest they say. Lucky for us our 'hardest' times have been trying to decide on how to divide Christmas and getting rid of our old couch but that's an entirely different story!

So here's the exciting part about splitting our holiday....we get to wake up in our own home Christmas morning with just the 2 of us!! I envision us waking up at the butt crack of dawn (we have to get to Price no later than 10am. I promised.) and racing down our hallway to see what Santa brought for the 2 of us. Except there is only the 2 of us so we're going to have to take turns so we can capture it on film but who knows maybe we'll just reenact it. No one will know the difference.

KNOW WHY because it will be... just US! How exciting.

Now the only dilemma I am having is deciding on what kind of cookies to put out the night before....I guess I will just ask "Santa" what he prefers. ;)

Yay to NEW holiday traditions.
